This chapter has been a baffling problem for me, as most of my season was made of « Try and fail but never fail to try », to quote the 6th president of the United States, John Quincy Adams. So the question I never stopped asking myself was « how can i make sure the workouts I’m sharing with you can make a difference and eventually lead to your success ? » Quite frankly I still have not figured out that question for two reasons :
That being said, I tried my best to gather the workouts and training block weeks that worked the best for me. I wrote it down in the form of a 4 week training block then a 2 week peak phase leading to a 2 week tapering phase before to an IronMan 140.6 race. This should give you a good idea of how I was articulating the whole thing. Both bike and run workouts are .fit files compatible with any Garmin device, and I’ve also included dedicated .zwo files for people on Zwift. If anything is wrong — they have been made on TrainingPeaks but not proof tested since them — please let me know in the comments and I’ll take care of it.
